Well, after six long years at Digital Fountain I’ve left and joined yet another startup, krugle.com.

I know, some of you are expecting me to badmouth my old employer, but I’m not going to do that. They’re still viable, and in fact, are poised on the razor’s edge of extraordinary success.

So why did I leave? Partly because the new company has two good friends in key management roles, Steve Larsen and Bob Cagle. Partly because I think that there’s more opportunity for me to experience personal career growth at the new company. Partly because, after six years (a personal record), it was just time for me to move on and do something new.

Krugle is a specialized search engine for software developers.
You use it to find code find answers – important questions like Is there already a useful implementation of md5 in object cobol that I can reuse?, or more succinctly md5 language:cobol.

No it’s not related to Google.
No it’s not related to the traditional Jewish noodle casserole, the kugel. (Although we should certainly find a way to work the kugel into our marketing efforts.)
The company name comes from the name of the founder and CTO Ken Krugler.
